Keith Baker – Leader of both Woodley Town and Wokingham Borough Councils
Keith is a retired Marketing / IT Professional having spent over 30 years in the Industry with over half of that in the Computer Networking sector. Roles have encompassed National, European and Worldwide responsibilities during this long career. Academically he gained one of the first “Computer Science” degrees in the country and was one of the first Computer Science graduate to be recruited into an Engineering post with Post Office Telecommunications. This was followed by an MBA at the tender age of 40! Outside of business he has a passion for all sports, watching not playing though! In the past he could also be seen performing on stage with a number of amateur dramatic companies and is still involved, after 20 years, with Starmaker Theatre Company for youngsters. At the age of 16 he became one of the youngest licensed Radio Amateurs in the South East. Politically active since he was 16 he was elected to the Borough Council in 2006 and the Town Council in 2011 and is currently Leader of both the Town and Borough Council.
Mark Cuddigan, Managing Director of Ella’s Kitchen
Mark joined Ella’s Kitchen in August 2011 and the turnover of the company has grown from $34m to c.$100m as the business launched 60 new products. Ella’s Kitchen has grown extremely quickly, catching the zeitgeist of our times and really connecting with parents and most importantly kids. The brand launched in Scandinavia and the US in 2009 and has subsequently launched in 12 other territories.
In seven years the company has gone from being a small business to a division of a NASDAQ listed company. The Hain Celestial Group Inc. acquired Ella’s Kitchen in May 2013.
The Festival of Business Woodley has this year chosen the Lilly May Page Charity and all proceeds from the event will be donate to Arrhythmia Alliance – Lilly-May Page
