I first came to Woodley in 1980 and apart from two brief spells away have lived here ever since, attending both Beechwood Primary School and Bulmershe School before joining one of the country’s leading joining one the country’s leading life and pension providers. While at this company I obtained professional qualifications and was the Banking and UK Treasury Manager prior to leaving them in 2007.
A number of years were subsequently spent working for The Football Association involved with developing women’s football which supplemented my football experience which included joining Woodley Town FC in 1987 and becoming the club’s chairman in recent years. I am currently the president of the Thames Valley Premier League.
I was appointment CEO of Woodley United FC Ltd in 2015 where previously I had played a significant role in the creation of the club that saw the amalgamation of long established clubs Woodley Town FC and Woodley Hammers FC with Woodley United Ladies FC designed to improve the football experience in the community by bring stakeholders such as the club, businesses, local education and local government together with a common goal.
I am married with my wife working in a local primary school while both my children were educated in Woodley and one lives in the Town.
